How to do Keyword Research with Google Keyword Planner


In this article I will go over in detail everything I do when doing keyword research with google keyword planner.  Some people say keyword research should begin even before building a website.  I tend to agree but this is of course not a set rule, every website can be optimized but there are some advantages in getting a domain which is already powerful and has keywords you may wish to rank for in it.  Anyway that s a bit more involved than I m going to get into right here. So the first thing to do would be find the most prominent searches for keywords your going for.  For this we would pick the most obvious keywords and begin looking at search volumes.  I pick 4 or 5 keywords which are obvious when I think about what to rank the site for.  By taking these 4 or 5 and looking at how much volume is searched monthly in google (get search volume and trends) you may be suprized at which searches have the most volume, or you may confirm what you already know.
